SOMEONE TO TALK TO Bereaved people need to talk, to express their feelings, to grieve. Cruse provides trained and experienced volunteers who will listen to the confusion, despair or remorse that bereavement can bring, and who can help you to cope over time. They will normally visit you in your home, but meetings can be arranged elsewhere if necessary. In our experience, people derive most benefit from talking to one of our volunteers about six weeks or later after a death. However, you can call our number at any time for help and advice.
PRACTICAL ADVICE Bereavement can bring varied practical problems. Cruse provides the opportunity to discuss these, supported by a wide range of leaflets and information on where other help may be found.
SOCIAL SUPPORT Bereavement often brings loneliness. Cruse can provide information on mutual support groups, sources of opportunities for new activities and the making of new friendships. These can all be helpful in beginning the journey forward.
